The Newport String Project presents the fourth installment of its Newport County Concert Series on Saturday, April 27, at Colony House in Newport, and Sunday, April 28, at United Congregational Church in Little Compton, featuring its resident ensemble, the Newport String Quartet, performing works by Peter Arnold Heise, Edvard Grieg, and Kian Ravaei.
The concert will include a performance of a recently rediscovered string quartet by Danish composer Peter Arnold Heise, alongside Edvard Grieg's Nordic masterpiece, String Quartet No 1 in g minor. The concert will also feature "The Little Things" (2023), a musical homage to Emily Dickinson by Iranian-American composer Kian Ravaei.
